Omar has worked in cybersecurity since 2006 and in the railway sector since 2018. His professional activity includes leadership global roles in the field of rail cyber security such as head of Product Cybersecurity Advisory at Selectron/Knorr-Bremse or Chief Cybersecurity Officer at Siemens Mobility. He currently works for Cylus, a pioneering company in cybersecurity solutions for the railway sector, and as associated teacher in Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Omar has collaborated on the redaction of CENELEC’s TS50701 and currently is part of the experts working group shaping the future IEC 63452 which will define the standard cybersecurity requirements for the rail applications.
